Darrell Best was an over-worked and underappreciated banker and his wife Lisa, a much-appreciated home daycare provider. They took a leap of faith by purchasing a 1942 American LaFrance firetruck to start a business to be called Red Hot Weddings.

Honorably named “Best Man” the mobile chapel is recognized as the world’s fastest wedding chapel by Guinness World Records. Our 1942 American La France mobile chapel is the result of a $100,000 conversion on the famed TV show Trick My Truck. It features stained glass windows, an altar, two wooden pews, and even an organ. It’s been covered by the biggest news and media outlets across the globe including World News with Charles Gibson. It’s also been featured in the LA Times, National Enquirer, and made a special trip to New York City for a photoshoot with international fashion designer Betsey Johnson! We can marry you on the road or parked at your chosen location with an unlimited guest list and then deliver you right to the reception! The ideas are limitless! Built in the 1800's, The Larimore is a beautifully restored 6 acre historic estate located in St. Louis, MO. We specialize in hosting beautiful weddings, ranging from large and formal, to small and informal, unique, and even quirky! We offer two dedicated getting ready rooms for both members of the couple, multiple ceremony locations, and a grand banquet hall for your reception! The venue is exclusive use only - meaning the venue is yours for the entire day! We can accommodate up to 180 guests in our reception hall. The venue price includes use of tables, chairs, on-site parking, and more!

We are located in Southern Edgar County out in the country on a pond. We opened in August of 2010 and produce and bottle our own wine. Our banquet hall is 40x60. area. We have a stone fireplace on the South wall and a stone bar. The rest of the room is open. There is a separate door that enters the banquet hall from the outside, and an exit door to the wine garden outside. If you rent our banquet hall, we will supply you with tables & chairs. The tables will have white tablecloths. We do have a beer & liquor license, but this is for special events only and needs to be mentioned at the time of booking your event.

The Carriage House offers the open elegance of a 35-foot vaulted ceiling with two-story windows on both sides of the building. It features Brazilian cherry hardwood floors throughout and boasts its own balcony above the main ballroom which is perfect for the DJ/band area and group photos of all your guests. Seating capacity is 250 and additional seating is available on the outdoor patio. Fox Run Golf Club is the perfect wedding venue, located just outside of St. Louis, for wedding ceremonies. We find that this is most convenient for both you and your guests as they can walk right from the ceremony at the Pavilion to the reception at The Carriage House. White wooden chairs and a full microphone system are included at the Pavilion at Fox Run.

Andres at GlenMark Farms in New Town St. Charles is a barn setting with the capability to host your ceremony and reception all at the same location. It sits on a 10-acre farm with a beautiful stone amphitheater for your outdoor tented ceremony or event and a newly renovated barn for your Dessert/Beverage area. It only hosts one event per day, so your event will be the only event on this amazing 10-acre property. At WOW Event Center we believe our guests should have the opportunity to experience the historic charm of Alton’s Riverfront District. Our venue is housed in a series of buildings dating back to the 1880’s. These buildings contain rustic elements with a chic industrial ambiance featuring exposed brick, hardwood floors, a pallet wall and visible rafters. Events that take place during the day are complemented by the beautiful view of the world-renowned Clark Bridge and the glistening Mississippi River. At night, the lights of Alton’s famed bridge create a spectacular backdrop for the evening’s activities. These design features have made us one of the most unique venues in the Midwest.

Construction on the Lake Springfield Postal Club began in the early 1940s. Post office employees donated over 50,000 hours on weekends, evenings and days off to complete the building. A team of horses and a sliding bucket were used to dig out the basement. The Postal Club officially opened in 1948. The total construction cost was approximately $15,000. In 2005, there were only two of the original Postal Club members left. In 2000 the Postal Club merged with the Springfield Firefighters Local 37. In 2001 the firefighters burned down the original Postal Club to make way for a new building. The new club was completed in 2002. The total construction cost was $3.6 million. The clubhouse is surrounded by 5 acres of woods, with boathouses, docks, beaches, parking lot, sidewalks, bandstand, and much more.
