I’m just a regular guy who loves to DJ weddings and parties. I get to help people celebrate milestones: weddings, birthdays, vow renewals, class reunions … and I also DJ “no special reason” events. I’d love to help you have a great event! I have more than 20 years of experience and have DJed and Emceed well over 450 parties. I recently upgraded my equipment and I have more than 20,000 songs in my music library. I show up early, and professionally dressed, and your requests are my top priority. I’ll include dance lighting at no additional charge.

So yes from funk, to Motown, classic rock, Bollywood, EDM, afrobeats, house, blues, reggaeton, latin, cumbias, pop, lo-fi, jazz, alternative, experimental, hip-hop, punk rock, synth. It's also time and place, sometimes you're at the gym and I want rachet music, or you're staring off into the rain and want nothing lyrical. Gage and Gold is the Bay Area's chic, award-winning jazz and private party band. Our expanding group, beginning with duo Jackie Gage & Kevin Goldberg, refreshes jazz standards and classy covers with a modern twist. Our larger ensemble features fellow musicians steeped in the jazz tradition, coupled with learning alongside international artists like John Santos, Tony Toni Toné and Fantastic Negrito. Together, our group's camaraderie influences our timeless take on soul, jazz, pop, and today's top 40 hits.

I started DJ’ing as a kid with two boom boxes, cassette mixtapes, and a deep love for music. I got into Turntablism and DJ’ing as an art form after completing a term in the Air Force. That's when I expanded my love for music and worked my way through college DJ’ing and doing voiceover. At Cal State I earned a B.A. in Film & Audio Production, and I then went on to become a certified Audio Engineer. When it comes to DJing for private events/venues like club rentals, weddings, corporate parties etc, I love my clients, and thrive on making meaningful connections.

Recognized as one of San Francisco’s premiere DJs, DJ Halo Effect hails from the foggy city and started his DJing career in 1998. He joined one of San Francisco’s pioneer Record Pools, Soul Disco Record Pool, and his DJ career took off equipped with an arsenal of promos of all the latest hits on vinyl and CDs.
