An Award Winning Chef, Marlene Souza, is the creative and dynamic influence behind Molly B’s Cakes of Distinction and Design. A graduate of Johnson & Wales University, she received her Associates in Baking Science and Pastry Arts in 2007. A self-taught business woman, Marlene has been successfully designing and creating cakes for over forty years. Specializing in custom made artisan cakes; she will be delighted to design the cake of your dreams.

Owner Shauna Hinchen-Joyal studied pastry arts at Johnson and Wales University and has worked in the baking industry for over 20 years, making specialty event and wedding cakes as well as her signature pastries. Shauna and her husband and partner Bob have been trained by an expert baristas at Atomic Coffee Roasters and are proud to serve drinks brewed with their beans. All our espresso drinks are made with our gorgeous Italian made La Marzocco machine.

Petrova Chocolates was established in 2020 and since then we have been focusing on creating eye-catching, artisanal chocolate bonbons, truffles, chocolate bars and caramels with unique flavor combinations. My love for cake is homegrown through countless hours spent working side by side, in the kitchen, with my grandmother. Grammie Maxine, keeper of my family, was and remains my biggest influence. She was a woman who took absolute pleasure in preparing homemade meals and desserts for her family. Her baking in particular, was always from scratch and made with the utmost love and care. Over the past few years, baking has worked its way through my heart.

Meredith Ciaburri-Rousseau, Owner/Head Pastry Chef Since the age of 10, Meredith Ciaburri-Rousseau has had a passion for baking that was originally inspired by her mother and grandmother. In 2006, Meredith opened The Artisan Bake Shop in Rochester, Massachusetts. Meredith has been creating elaborately decorated and absolutely delicious cakes, pastries, cupcakes and pastries featuring locally farmed eggs, fruits and dairy. Meredith’s sweets have been featured in local and National magazines and popular wedding websites.

Gerry has been decorating cakes for more than 30 years and has been involved in every aspect of event planning and catering for more than 20 years. After years working in the corporate world, as Director of Catering, he made the decision to venture out on his own and do what he is truly passionate about! Making every guest happy through food. Gerry took the leap and began his journey into owning his own Catering and Pastry company in 2006.

Hello friends! I’m a nonbinary (they/them) artist, cat parent, and first-time business owner. I derailed my 4-year college plan to work in a restaurant and then attend pastry school - which is how I landed in Rhode Island. I needed a field that was both regimented and creative and pastry delivered! I’ve baked in Providence for over 6 years, and I couldn’t imagine ever leaving the incredible network of small food businesses that I’ve been welcomed into. Every cake and frosting is made by me, from scratch - no fondant in my kitchen! My favorite designs are those that capture the personalities and passions of my incredible clients.

CHIC is a culmination of my retail, styling, and design background.
