I cannot recommend Sara and her company more. It’s hard to find the words to express how truly wonderful she is. I began with looking for a florist and ended up finding a designer genius and friend. She truly allowed me the space to bounce ideas off of and did everything she could to execute my vision. Even if it didn’t fall immediately as her responsibility. My wedding was very candle heavy and she created a magical world of candles and florals that only dreams are made of. She also designed my lounge area and ceremony. Everything was executed exactly as I imagined. It’s as if she reaches in and pulls out what you picture even when you can’t put into words. We had weekly calls and brainstorming sessions. She came to my venue several times with me to ensure the layout. She went ABOVE and BEYOND. When I say that you get more than you pay for with Sara it’s the truth! I’m so grateful and thankful for her and words can never express the adoration I have for the human she is and how she made my wedding dreams come true. Book her, you won’t be sorry!!

When I initially began my hunt for my wedding florist, I found a great divide between florists way, way out of my price range and shops looking to crank out a volume of cookie cutter designs. I was absolutely disheartened by the many, many florists that weren’t interested in hearing about my creative vision and only wanted to discuss date, budget, and colors. Looking back, I’m grateful I didn’t settle for ordinary and continued to pursue my dreams of extraordinary. When describing Rachel, the first word that comes to mind is wizard. Rachel and team are absolute wizards; wizards at crunching numbers behind the scenes, sourcing products and the freshest and most fragrant of florals. Whatever spells they cast on my floral designs kept them fresh, vibrant, and stunning even in July, on one of the most humid days of the year. She even babysat my dog topiary, made by my husband-to-be in honor of our dog, Harley. She took him under her wing for the day, kept him happy and hydrated and placed him at a position of honor by our welcome sign. Both my mother and mother-in-law alike informed me their corsages were the most beautiful corsages they had ever seen and just loved the pearl bracelet they came on. They both dried and saved them for their memory boxes. Rachel is highly knowledgeable, creative, and has a stellar “yes can do” attitude. In the months leading up to your wedding day or special event, she’ll ask thoughtful questions about your venue, bridal party, theme, and vision. My advice to you is book her far in advance. Come prepared with many, many photos. Ask questions. Be curious, be passionate, dare to dream. Trust that she will listen, she will respect your budget, and she will exceed your expectations.

New Leaf Florals

5.0

Plainville, CT

The first day I worked in floral design, I knew I was home. It quickly became my passion, inspiration, and outlet and has allowed me to bring so much added beauty to people’s favorite days! It’s all in the details and as overwhelming as it may be, that’s where I find solace! Working as a partner and team mate to my clients, I find, creates the best experience to fit everyone’s needs, keeping the quality of product and experience! With that being said, let’s get to work!

I can’t even begin to describe how perfect of a job Taylor did! Her patience with me during the process and the time she took to send details over meant the world to us. We loved the results and couldn’t have been happier with the final product.

      Fountainhead Floral Design

      5.0

      Milford, CT
      • Starts at $3,000
      • Serves Simsbury, CT

The granddaughter of two gardeners, I have always felt a connection to the earth through the soil. When someone brings flowers into a room, something changes...an energy, an excitement! I love being able to bring that kind of beauty into peoples lives. I'm a small-town girl who enjoys anything that involves working with my hands from cooking to knitting. I'm a total animal lover (partial to dogs), a die-hard Grey's Anatomy fan, and I take my martinis extra dirty. When I'm not flowering in our studio in Milford, Connecticut, I'm mommin' to three amazing little boys (our dog Pippa and cat, Galaxy).

      Awarded Best of Zola
Kate did an amazing job with my flowers. Every centerpiece and bouquet and boutonniere was exactly what I envisioned and described during our planning meeting. She was communicative and I felt very confident going into the day. Everything was on-time and Kate herself was at the venue to make sure everything looked perfect before the ceremony started. 10/10 would recommend.

Flower Moxie – Do-It-Yourself Wedding Flowers

      5.0

      Oklahoma City, OK
      • Serves Simsbury, CT

In 2013, 8-year wedding veteran Amy McCord Jones realizes she wouldn't be able to afford to hire her own floral services if she was a bride. Then, Amy discovers that there is basically zero help available for DIY brides. No flower recipes. No instructions. No access to florist-grade blooms. Rude. So she launches Flower Moxie! Flower Moxie remains a humble, tucked-away small business out of Oklahoma City. We don’t zoom around on scooters in some fancy high-rise. We stock an average kitchen with canned wine and Aldi chips and listen to true crime podcasts while photographing curvy ranunculus. Join us. There’s cake, hugs, and acceptance here.

Doing our own wedding flowers was the best choice my daughter made for her wedding, other than choosing the groom of course. You do have to commit some time in the days before the wedding but it is so worth it. There are so many video tutorials to watch that you feel like an expert. They don't leave you high and dry after you purchase either. They are in contact with you to make sure everything is going good. That was very helpful. The memories we made together by making our own flower arrangements and bouquets using Flower Moxie was priceless. It also looked like we spent a fortune on flowers because we had so many extra (they give you more than you need to account for some loss) that we had flowers everywhere as extra decoration.

      Something Borrowed Blooms

      4.8

      Lafayette, LA
      • Starts at $250
      • Serves Simsbury, CT

Thousands of brides across the United States and Canada have trusted Something Borrowed Blooms to provide the perfect flowers for their wedding day. We offer brides the expensive peonies, delicate ranunculus, out-of-season anemones, and the ever-impossible-to-find-magnolia — all at a fraction of the cost.

I was so stressed about my flowers coming on time (we got married just after the 4th of July) and they came super early! SB Blooms was sure to ship them early due to the holiday! SB was very prompt to answer all of my emails and was very detail oriented. I was worried about the quality of the whole order, but I don’t regret my choice for rentals one bit! I loved my flowers and I truly believe they were far better than any real ones I was looking at. They were so full and bouncy the whole night and they pictured beautifully!

When I say I am obsessed, I truly mean it. Between working with me to find the perfect color combination, and incorporating the flowers I wanted I was in awe with how they all came out. Plus the personal touch of the word bloom, with the lyrics to our first dance song made not only me tear up, but many of my guests and family were blown away by that piece too. Would HIGHLY recommend and have been recommending to anyone who is looking for another personal touch and beautiful keep sakes

      The Faux Bouquets

      5.0

      Redlands, CA
      • Starts at $175
      • Serves Simsbury, CT

Believe it or not, we often have people ask if our pictures throughout our website are showing a mix of fresh and faux and…no they aren’t! Although fresh florals are pretty, we are totally in love with poser-blooms all the way here and that’s what we design 100% of our orders with.

      Awarded Best of Zola
I'm so glad I found The Faux Bouquets. I loved that I could design something custom, but with artificial flowers that don't ever wilt and that I can keep on my desk to look at as a memory. They are so helpful with ideas, have such pretty flowers, and I'm so happy I found them!
