Juliane James Place is a wedding venue and vacation rental carved into the middle of the woods in the middle of Minnesota. Weddings are really fun at Juliane James Place. And that makes us really happy. We are an inclusive, welcoming space with a history of diverse ceremonies. Most folks have dogs or love them dearly. We've even had a cat, named Scuttle, on hand for a wedding. It's a space guests can't really imagine until they arrive, that they don't want to leave at the end of the night.

In 1900, Frank D. Stout inherited part of his father’s lumber fortune, moved to Chicago, and within a few years was one of the wealthiest men in the country. Stout's was built in 1903 by Frank D. Stout as a summer retreat for his family and modeled after the famous Adirondack camps. Over the past 25 years, new cabins have been erected and we now have a total of 43 guest rooms on the Island. Imagine a ceremony on the South Lawn with panoramic views of Red Cedar Lake or a tranquil gathering in the former Stout Family master bedroom with a wood-burning fireplace. Stout’s Island Lodge offers an elegant yet relaxed setting with a selection of private event spaces for intimate groups to large tented weddings for up to 175 guests. Catalyst is a brand new, modern venue that immerses you in nature, yet boasts all of the modern amenities that you crave for a luxury wedding. Located in Nisswa, MN we have 14 wooded acres on Clark Lake with 2,200 feet of shoreline, a private beach, and a private island. The venue holds up to 225 and includes a reception room, indoor ceremony room, outdoor ceremony site, two-story lobby, two getting ready suites, an outdoor patio, and more!  Construction is well underway and we are currently booking weddings for Sept 2022 and beyond.
