We are a small, woman owned business located in the rural area of Columbus, IN. I operate a small shop out of our converted "garage". We added some french doors, house plants, work benches, and a lot of love! We offer DIY bridal events, workshops for girls night out, children, or just a good group of friends! No one leaves here until their flowers make them happy.

My name is Maggie O'Heran and I am the owner of Magpie Weddings. I've been planning events, in one way or another, for over 7 years now, with a heart for weddings. With an education in hospitality management and a background in business administration, Magpie Weddings is my dream come true. When I’m not tied up with the not-so-little family that my husband (you’ll probably see him doing the heavy lifting at events) and I have built, my brain is occupied with all things weddings and events. Wood & Word Blooms is run by a Jen Angle, former teacher of 20+ years and specializes in using hand-painted wood flowers along with a faux, dried and preserved florals (nothing fresh here) to bring your wedding vision to life not just for that one glorious day but forever. Besides designing for you, I also offer DIY Wood Flower Experiences to create your wedding florals alongside me in person or virtually and 1:1 sessions to help DIY brides learn to do it themselves.
