    Fountainhead Floral Design

    5.0

    Milford, CT
    • Starts at $3,000
    • Serves Windsor, CT

The granddaughter of two gardeners, I have always felt a connection to the earth through the soil. When someone brings flowers into a room, something changes...an energy, an excitement! I love being able to bring that kind of beauty into peoples lives. I'm a small-town girl who enjoys anything that involves working with my hands from cooking to knitting. I'm a total animal lover (partial to dogs), a die-hard Grey's Anatomy fan, and I take my martinis extra dirty. When I'm not flowering in our studio in Milford, Connecticut, I'm mommin' to three amazing little boys (our dog Pippa and cat, Galaxy).

Kate was so easy to work with. She designed a beautiful portfolio. The flowers she picked for our bouquets and centerpieces were AMAZING! I've never seen more perfect, massive roses. Her pricing was also much better than all of the 4 other quotes we received (who offered much less than what Kate gave us).

Flower Moxie – Do-It-Yourself Wedding Flowers

    5.0

    Oklahoma City, OK
    • Serves Windsor, CT

In 2013, 8-year wedding veteran Amy McCord Jones realizes she wouldn't be able to afford to hire her own floral services if she was a bride. Then, Amy discovers that there is basically zero help available for DIY brides. No flower recipes. No instructions. No access to florist-grade blooms. Rude. So she launches Flower Moxie! Flower Moxie remains a humble, tucked-away small business out of Oklahoma City. We don’t zoom around on scooters in some fancy high-rise. We stock an average kitchen with canned wine and Aldi chips and listen to true crime podcasts while photographing curvy ranunculus. Join us. There’s cake, hugs, and acceptance here.

    Awarded Best of Zola
I highly recommend Flower Moxie for any bride looking to save some money and DIY flowers! It can be a lot to take on, so if you are not a DIY type of bride - this might not be for you. However, if you ARE... Flower Moxie is a great option. Prior to finding Flower Moxie, I spent countless hours researching different types of flowers, how many to get, how to care for them, etc. It was honestly one of the most stressful part of wedding planning because I was worried about overordering, underordering, not knowing what flowers looked good together. I finally discovered Flower Moxie and it was GAME CHANGER. They have pre-selected bundles by color or theme. This put my mind at ease because I didn't have to worry about counting stems, and if anything arrived damaged, they will send you new ones! They are extremely responsive and very helpful. We had some flowers that did not open and they shipped replacements right to our venue. The only thing I would recommend is ordering some additional greens. We definitely did not have enough but luckily I had ordered some extra greens/stock. I think our centerpieces would have looked very small without the additional greens I purchased. Flower Moxie also has a ton of helpful tutorials and pamphlets. I loved how our arrangements turned out and would definitely recommend them to future brides.

    Something Borrowed Blooms

    4.8

    Lafayette, LA
    • Starts at $250
    • Serves Windsor, CT

Thousands of brides across the United States and Canada have trusted Something Borrowed Blooms to provide the perfect flowers for their wedding day. We offer brides the expensive peonies, delicate ranunculus, out-of-season anemones, and the ever-impossible-to-find-magnolia — all at a fraction of the cost.

Don’t even think about spending thousands on real flowers. These silk flowers were incredible and I LOVED using Something Borrowed Bloom. Everything came in fantastic shape, the process was fairly easy. My only advice would be to make sure you know who will be shipping everything back the next day and to have someone who’s responsible in charge of collecting the boutonnières and bouquets at the end of the night ! The flowers were gorgeous. We rent them for bouquets, boutonnières, garland, cake table decor and used the bridesmaids bouquets as the center pieces. Saved a ton of money and no one could tell they were silk flowers until you said something. Would highly recommend!

So I freaking love Jennifer and her flowers soooooo much. I've used them on so many shoots now that I've lost count and each time the work is just fantastic. No joke, at every single one of these shoots I'll hand the couple or model the flowers and tell them that it's the bouquet....EVERY SINGLE TIME they are shocked once they touch the flowers to realize they are totally fake. You can be inches away from the flowers and still think they are real! Jennifer's professionalism and easy-going manner makes her fantastic to work with and I HIGHLY recommend everyone to check her out.

    Little Blooms

    5.0

    Nashua, NH
    • Starts at $4,000
    • Serves Windsor, CT

I started my business in 2018, after I finished floral design classes from Cass School of Floral in Watertown, MA. I have had hands on experience from Floral Arts in Westford, MA and have completed over 15 weddings in my time as a floral designer. I have a little intern named Larry, a corgi-pit mix, who is the model for Little Blooms, who you will see a lot of on Instagram. I love using locally grown flowers as much as I can in my work, to really showcase 'farm to florist'.

    Awarded Best of Zola
Planning a wedding can be overwhelming but Little Blooms made the experience super easy and straightforward. The quality of service and delivery was flawless and the flowers came out more beautiful than we could have imagined. We would easily recommend Little Blooms to anyone!

    Bloom Culture: Do-it-yourself Wedding Flowers

    5.0

    Oklahoma City, OK

We have pre-made DIY Flower Collections or you can get a custom design with our FREE online quote or chat with us one on one for more guidance!

    Awarded Best of Zola
As my fiancé and I started the wedding planning process, we joked that our loose theme would be “flowers and love.” We knew we wanted lots of beautiful, lush florals as the primary decor focus, and also knew we didn’t want to spend the many thousands of dollars to achieve that look with a standard florist. If you’re in the same boat, and have an appetite for some DIYing, I’d STRONGLY recommend working with Bloom Culture. After some Googling for DIY wedding florals, I came across Bloom Culture and spoke with Allison for a custom consultation. During the call, Allison helped me express the type of floral look we were going for, and built out a custom floral package that would achieve it. She also laid out the delivery and prep process, and we landed on a final package and timeline for delivery. We received a LARGE box of flowers the week before the wedding and were immediately pleased with the quantity and quality of flowers we had received. Allison’s guide mentioned that some crushed or damaged blooms would be completely normal, but everything was so well packaged we didn’t notice more than a few damaged stems. From there, the DIYing began. Between unpacking, trimming, de-thorning, trimming again, building bouquets, arrangements, boutonnieres, etc, etc, it was a LOT of work. However, we referenced Allison’s guides (written, video tutorials) religiously and they laid out everything perfectly. She strongly recommends having plenty of assistants -- pay attention to this advice! Find a few trusted friends or family members who have time and artistic ability and it will make all the difference in your stress levels. The flowers all lasted beautifully for the wedding and we received so many compliments on how they looked. Allison - thank you for everything!

Without a doubt Elyse has to be one of the most creative people in the industry to pull off some of the arrangements she’s made. The amount of colors and detail in her work is way more than you’d think possible. You can tell she invests so much time and energy into making sure each arrangement is perfect and suitable for each wedding, especially with our own. The combination of different types of flowers we had is just wild; simply outstanding! Everyone wants to have flowers at their wedding but I’ve never met a florist like Elyse who can make everyone’s wedding seem like it’s as important to her as her own wedding. She really made our wedding feel unique and special.

    Fairy Meadow Flowers

    5.0

    Hamden, CT
    • Starts at $4,500
    • Serves Windsor, CT

My name is Isabelle, and I grow chemical free, regenerative flowers and herbs on 3/4 of an acre in Hamden, CT. I truly love working on these blooms from start to finish, and I hope to get to share some of the beauty with you on your special day.

    Awarded Best of Zola
I cannot recommend Best Friends Flowers highly enough! I hired them for my October wedding and they gave me the wedding florals of my dreams. Isabelle was communicative, collaboratively created a vision board, and turned my very vague, broad requests (“colorful”, “wildflower-ish”) into the most amazing bridesmaid bouquets, bridal bouquet, boutonnières, table flowers, and wedding arch. They take into account the wedding, the people, and the setting. I was so happy to have this business- a local, queer-owned, ethically focused small business- be a big part of my wedding day. Thank you Best Friends Flowers!!!!
