Blue Dahlia Wooden Florals, LLC

5.0

Biddeford, ME

My business started when I was planning my own wedding. I love flowers, but we couldn't justify spending hundreds or thousands on real flowers to throw them away in a week when we also found out we were expecting our first child at the same time. In came wood flowers! After much practice, I discovered I have an eye for colors and floral design and now 4 years and MANY weddings and THOUSANDS of home decor pieces later, this is not only my passion but it is also my full time business. No side hustle here! You will have my undivided attention. I'll make sure your floral dreams come to life in wood and the best part, they LAST FOREVER!

We worked with Blue Dahlia Designs for our floral needs for our wedding. Working with Katie was easy and efficient. She worked patiently with us to get our flowers exactly how we wanted them, and we couldn't be happier with how they turned out (:

I cannot recommend her enough. She made the day so perfect. She put all the details into our wedding and did everything we could have ever asked for. We had the bouquets turned into shadow boxes and art because of how beautiful they were. She listened to everything we wanted and was a valuable contribution to our wedding.

Flower Moxie – Do-It-Yourself Wedding Flowers

        5.0

        Oklahoma City, OK
        • Serves York, ME

In 2013, 8-year wedding veteran Amy McCord Jones realizes she wouldn't be able to afford to hire her own floral services if she was a bride. Then, Amy discovers that there is basically zero help available for DIY brides. No flower recipes. No instructions. No access to florist-grade blooms. Rude. So she launches Flower Moxie! Flower Moxie remains a humble, tucked-away small business out of Oklahoma City. We don’t zoom around on scooters in some fancy high-rise. We stock an average kitchen with canned wine and Aldi chips and listen to true crime podcasts while photographing curvy ranunculus. Join us. There’s cake, hugs, and acceptance here.

        Awarded Best of Zola
I loved my experience with flower moxie! From picking out the flowers on the website to arranging them with my sisters the day before the wedding - their business model allowed me to have the flowers of my dreams and save thousands on our small wedding. Flower moxie was super easy to communicate with and made the pickup process very easy, as well as great instructions on flower care. Would highly highly recommend!

Jen is just wonderful to work with! Jen is quick to respond and always there to answer questions! She offers a lot of options to choose from, along with a variety of styles arrangements, all to your custom liking! I personally went with a large bouquet, corsages, boutonnieres and arch swag. My parents, in laws and myself all have our own personal keepsake from wedding day. Having the opportunity to admire such a beautiful arrangement for years to come, reminding me of the most intimate part of the day, is just worth it. I received so, so many compliments and all came along with “wow” after realizing they were wood arrangements! Everyone, along with myself, just loved and couldn’t believe how beautiful and unique each arrangement was. Thank you Jen for being apart of our special day that I’ll be able to keep forever.

        Little Blooms

        5.0

        Nashua, NH
        • Starts at $4,000
        • Serves York, ME

I started my business in 2018, after I finished floral design classes from Cass School of Floral in Watertown, MA. I have had hands on experience from Floral Arts in Westford, MA and have completed over 15 weddings in my time as a floral designer. I have a little intern named Larry, a corgi-pit mix, who is the model for Little Blooms, who you will see a lot of on Instagram. I love using locally grown flowers as much as I can in my work, to really showcase 'farm to florist'.

        Awarded Best of Zola
From our very first call, Little Blooms was so amazing to work with. Florals were something I was really particular about getting right and Danielle was SO patient with me during the many changes to my vision (we started with Boho/Fall and ended up doing something more Garden-y/Fall vibe). The end result was beyond my already high expectations -- she did an INCREDIBLE job. Lots of guests commented on how beautiful my florals were and it was honestly one of the best parts of our day.

I can’t recommend Bloom Culture enough. We scheduled a consultation call with them roughly 3 months before our wedding date. Heather was super kind, helpful and professional. She promptly sent us a proposal that fit our budget and matched exactly what we had discussed during our consultation! The resources they shared with us were super helpful, and 3 days before our wedding the flowers arrived in perfect condition! Even though some of my bridesmaids were nervous about DIYing their bouquets, everyone’s turned out so beautiful and unique!!

        Semper Virens Flowers

        5.0

        North Chelmsford, MA
        • Starts at $3,500
        • Serves York, ME

Designer Mary B. Hayes of Semper Virens Flowers creates spirited, nature-inspired florals for weddings and elopements. We use seasonal and locally-grown flowers and foliage to create bespoke florals for you. Our flowers will truly bring more beauty and joy to your event! We also offer workshops, including floral crowns and flower bars, which are perfect for a bridal shower or reception activity. (Weddings limited to less than 125 guests. )

Semper Virens crafted several feature pieces for our wedding reception set in a “rustic chic” venue. Mary Beth’s arrangements elevated our entire space and added the perfect level dimension and personality. We knew that we needed some “life” throughout the venue, but didn’t have the vision ourselves. We gave Mary Beth free rein to interpret our personal style within the context of our venue’s vibe. The incredibly bespoke results were both elegant and artistic. Her pieces fit seamlessly into the spaces of the venue they were placed and added a layer of uniqueness that helped to make our wedding day (and all the photos and videos!) extra special. We continue to enjoy displaying Semper Virens arrangements for holidays and special occasions - it’s always a pleasure to work with the extremely talented and endlessly creative Mary Beth and would highly recommend her floral services!
