Located in SF. As a Photographer; I'm a storyteller. My imagery captures a harmony of raw emotion, authentic evanescent moments, and curated artistry. I believe in camaraderie with my couples to create beautiful memories, love stories shared over wine & a fire-pit and giving back with each wedding I book. I champion for kindness and giving back. My couples echo this right back. They are stylish, authentic and plan amazing details but also know how to pop the champagne and head to the dance floor.

My style of photography is emotional, romantic and elegant. I pursue a connection to my couples through beautiful light and stunning imagery. I believe imagery should be timeless. I deliver my images in hand-crafted heirloom albums so that one day when your daughter or son is getting married, he/she/they can see that the promise of love they are ready to give, has a strong legacy in the love you promised one another. He/She/They will know that they are entering a strong tradition of love and family. But most importantly, so he/she/they can see that the rumors ARE true, you DID break it down on the dance floor once too ;)

Animus-Art photography consists of two amazing humans, Pedro & B, who are even more perfect when they come together. Working with them on our engagement and wedding was nothing short of a fun adventure. My husband and I are not exactly naturals on camera, but you wouldn’t know that by looking at the images they captured. Pedro & B are fun, creative, passionate, hard-working and incredibly talented!! They go above and beyond to get the perfect shot! Their work is exceptional and speaks for itself. I couldn’t imagine the images being any more perfect. But aside from that, Pedro & B offer something truly special with their personalities and work ethic. They weren’t just our photographers- especially on the wedding day- they took on so many roles. They were like the best friend who never left our sight. While we were getting ready, Pedro spent much of the time with my husband and the boys, and B stayed with me and the girls. B was my superwoman on my wedding day. She wasn’t just one of my photographers - she was my maid of honor, my friend, my event coordinator, my personal assistant, my therapist. She just seemed to be there every second of the day, willing and ready to help out in every way. All this, while she snapped hundreds of beautiful, creative photos. Pedro is the kind of photographer who listens while you describe your ideal look to your hair dresser so that he can make sure it stays that way all night. And as he prompts you to fix your hair 3 hours into your reception, you smile with pride because you know you hired the best photographers in the world. The level of attention they pay to detail is unreal! They anticipate your needs before you even know about them. They capture real moments in a beautiful way. They know how to take photos while letting you be yourself- no constant stopping and prompting. In my opinion, those make for the best shots. They have so much fun doing what they do, it’s infectious. I am so so happy that they were our wedding photographers and hope to have them capture other important events in our future. Absolutely THE BEST!!!

It was my lucky day the day I met the Animus Art team at a bridal expo and won their free engagement photo shoot. When my (now) husband and I met with them over coffee (the way to their hearts, I found later) to talk about the shoot, I hadn't intended on choosing our wedding photographer then. We ended up loving their work so much...but more importantly, we fell in love with them as people. They have such a passion for what they do and for the people they work with, and it shows through in every conversation, every laugh, and every photo. My husband and I stayed after they left to discuss it, and we decided that day to choose them. We had lofty goals for our engagement shoot. We wanted to do a Pixar-inspired theme. I'm a perfectionist and had a vision of what I wanted. What we got was so much more. For our wedding photos...they captured moments I didn't know I needed. Some of my favorite shots are candid photos only their eyes would have seen. And once we found out we were pregnant, we immediately turned to them to not only help us capture the maternity and newborn moments, but the birth process as well. That's how close we've become with Pedro and Burcu...they were the only people we trusted to be in the room the moment our first child was born. The photographs are more than I could have hoped for, and looking at them brings tears to my eyes. They were able to capture so many emotions, and those photos are a gift I'll never be able to repay. I can't recommend them enough, and there aren't words for how much their dedication to those precious moments in our lives means to me. I can't imagine a special occasion without them...not only as photographers, but now as friends.
