High on a bluff towering over the James River, this exquisite Georgian Revival offers 16,000 square feet of opulence, built by Taylor and Parrish Construction from 1981-1987. This stately Georgian features an upper brick promenade surrounded by a limestone balustrade and opens to a double curved staircase to the lower terrace. The mansion's interior boasts extravagant architectural embellishment. Marble floors, ornamental cornices, plaster friezes, 18-foot columns with gilded Corinthian capitals, and custom crystal chandeliers please the eye from the onset. A Jeffersonian pool house with a hexagonal raised dome presides over a circular pool with bluestone terraces and a limestone balustrade. As a full-service venue, we offer in-house catering, rentals, and several unique locations for your big day! Our beautifully renovated Ballroom was designed with you in mind—it provides a blank canvas to transform into whatever vision you love (and has beautiful local reclaimed wooden floors)! For outdoor ceremony, we have two beautiful options. The first is on the 10th tee. This location overlooks the golf course and the Blue Ridge Mountains. The other outdoor option is the Glenmore Pavilion. Designed by the team behind Pippin Hill, this beautiful, new open-air pavilion overlooks the golf course and the Blue Ridge Mountains, and it is covered so you would not need to worry about renting a tent for your outdoor space. This location is perfect for both ceremony and reception.

Event Central in Newport News, VA includes an event hall, chapel, and social area. Book your special wedding day at our newly redecorated event facility. Our wedding package is $2200. for the day and includes all the following areas: decorated social area, decorated chapel, event hall, lounge, kitchen, bar area, & dressing rooms. If the wedding chapel isn't needed, our event hall can be booked by the hour ($125.) or the day ($1000.). Our facility seats up to 102 and comes with free use of easels, backdrop, round tables, white chavari chairs, cake stage w/table & uplights, dj stage w/table, facade, & uplights, head stage w/table, 2 thrones, uplights, & backdrop.
