The Poe Museum's Enchanted Garden makes for a small event venue that is absolutely poetic! Edgar Allan Poe considered gardens to be one of the highest art forms. Inspired by his poem "To One in Paradise," the Museum's Enchanted Garden was created in 1922 to pay tribute to this passion. The Gardens at the Poe Museum are the convergence of many aspects of the history and culture of Richmond. The landscape captures the romance and mystery of Poe's work while also paying homage to the southern tradition of gardening. This charming, intimate space is ideal for wedding ceremonies, receptions, parties and other gatherings of up to 75 people. Our stately ole girl was born in 1927, during the Rockefeller’s reconstruction of Williamsburg, Virginia’s Historic area, she sits literally on the front steps of our American History. Her guests enjoy a glimpse of an earlier time when hospitality was a matter of pride and fine living was an art practiced in restful surroundings. Located on Main Street in Clayton, NC, Chefella's Event Space is perfect for engagement parties, bridal showers, rehearsal dinners, and more for groups up to 25 people. With a bistro-like feel, this space includes a main event room, bar and lounge area, outdoor bistro tables, and catering room. Each rental includes the use of the entire space, tables, black linens, and chairs with customizable table settings, color schemes, and stress-free catering options available that can easily be built into your rental. An event attendant will be present for the entirety of your event at no extra charge.
