The Venue at River's Edge is a recently restored Venue in downtown waterloo. Formerly the building was used as a community building before the city of waterloo had things like a school gym or a theater. At one time the building hosted a long list of events including basketball games, weddings, movies, plays, and even a rifle range in the basement. After being restored we are now again hosting events with a primary focus on weddings and receptions. We hope that you will allow us to host your Event in our beautiful historic building in downtown waterloo.

The Ludlow Mansion is steeped in history from the early beginning as a homestead of a 3,000 acre farm and a stop on the underground railroad, to today as a preeminent regional gathering place for great events. Five suites are available for overnight accommodations and access for photos and videos can be obtained in this historic homestead. The Mansion's grounds invite guests to enjoy friends and family under the shadow of its four two-story columned porch or its great white pergola. The Saddle Room bar offers both a comfortable lounge around its famous sunken bar or a patio chair to watch the sunset over the Mansion grounds. The Wagner House, located in the historic Wagner Print Building, is a three-story industrial warehouse in downtown Freeport, Illinois. The building was built in 1903 and was one of the first buildings that had electricity in Freeport. Established in 1853 and incorporated on March 9, 1912, the Wagner Building was home to the German-born Wagner Family who, like Freeport, has a long and interesting history. The Wagner House also served as an industrial manufacturing spot for textiles and fashion. For four generations, the business did not change hands, and the present Wagner company pledged to continue their record of quality printing and letterpress and are still in business today. In 2013, The Wagner building was sold to Bill Green to redevelop and re-imagine it, creating a wine bar, business incubator, and beautiful event space.

The Evergreen Room, our banquet facility, is nestled in a beautifully landscaped hillside. The room features 15 ft. vaulted ceilings, cherry stained wood accents, and large windows that overlook our 27-hole golf course. The room can hold up to 250 guest for a plated reception or 220 for a buffet reception. Attached to the room is The Pub Bar. This large bar is penninsula shaped and served from 3 sides. There are several tables in the surrounding area for guests to easily gather around. You and your guests will have access to our spacious patio where the views of the golf course continue. This space can also serve as the perfect back drop for an on-site ceremony. The Evergreen Room offeres an adjoining Bridal Suite.
