We opted for an outdoor ceremony by the pool, followed by a reception in their elegant ballroom. From our first meeting with their wedding coordinator to the day of our event, they were attentive, professional, and genuinely invested in making our day perfect. There might not be enough room to say all the amazing things I have to say after my wedding at The Barns of Kanak. The team made every single vision I had for my wedding come to life. The venue has EVERYTHING. We had our hair + makeup teams come to the venue and the morning getting ready was the most relaxing and fun experience I could have ever asked for. While the girls got ready, the guys and our families hung out, played games, and relaxed by the pool. Our wedding coordinator Delaney is an absolutely rockstar and was helpful from the start with coordinating meetings and contacting all of our vendors to make sure the day went by without a single hiccup. The entire team from Delaney, to Kylie, to Tom & Diane, and our bartenders were incredible- so fun, so helpful, and the kindest people I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. I don’t think I could have asked for a more perfect day, the only thing I wish is that we could do everything over again! Thank you all for making our wedding the most incredible day of our lives!

A staple in the wedding industry for the over 30 years, Linden Row Inn is the perfect choice for capturing the importance of your special day!

This is the perfect wedding venue if you want a historic venue and have a small to medium wedding! We had about 50 guests, and felt that it was the perfect amount for the space. The Linden Row team was a dream to work with! Alexa was incredibly responsive to all of our emails. Their partnership with Groovin’ Gourmets truly made our planning so much easier as the staff have great relationships and are used to working together. For all that was included, we felt the price was fair, however keep in mind that in the event of rain, you will also need to work with one of their approved tent vendors since there is not an adequate indoor space for a wedding. This is not their fault, but something we wished we talked through more in the early stages of planning! The room blocks were super easy to set up and we were given a log in to track who had already booked a room. For any guests that are staying in the hotel, it was easy for them to get breakfast on site. All of our guests said they loved their stay at Linden Row. There was another event in downtown Richmond the weekend of our wedding, so parking was a challenge, but again, it is not Linden Row’s fault, just something to keep in mind when booking a room or a wedding.

The Carolyn Baldwin Lake Pavilion is named after our dear loved one, Carolyn Varner Baldwin, who unexpectedly passed away in 2008 due to an allergic reaction. She was the matriarch of our family and a beautiful, one-in-a-billion type of person with a generous and loving spirit. She was a talented gardener, a devoted fisherwoman who could out-fish the best of 'em (we're talking "sun-up-til-sundown" kind of fishing), was creative and artsy, and never knew a stranger. We felt it only fitting to name this lovely place in her memory. We are a family-operated business. Joanna is the General Manager and works with each client to accommodate varying event needs. She handles a wide range of aspects of the business, from answering questions about what will make your event run smoothly to giving you layout suggestions. She has worked with over 200 wedding & event clients over the last 10 years and has learned quite a bit about weddings & event planning through her experiences.

My husband and I were initially scheduled to get married in September of 2020, but we ended up postponing due to COVID until October of 2021. From contract signing through postponement and leading up to the final day, Joanna was a dream to work with. I was planning the wedding from New York, so I was really scared about all the details and worried because I wasn't able to come see things in person. The whole time Joanna was super helpful and made sure we had all the information we needed to have a wonderful day. The venue is absolutely gorgeous, no matter which season. We had our wedding right as the leaves were at peak foliage and it was beautiful. It was a little chilly the day of, but we were able to have the propane heaters running underneath the pavilion and all the guests had a great time. The sound system is really good, and it's so convenient to have the ceremony and reception in one place. The only caveat is that the pavilion is kind of isolated from anything else to do on the weekends except maybe some walking and hiking. However, this is compensated for in the price. You will be hard pressed to find a better financial deal with the offerings and capacity of the Lake Pavilion. GREAT if you are on a budget, and in my opinion you don't lose out on anything by picking this venue over something more expensive. Thanks Joanna, for everything!

This was an amazing location for anyone that is local or coming in from out of town. As the bride I was able to unpack my bags settle in and enjoy all that this venue had to offer for the entire weekend. Dan, the owner is incredibly sweet and has been doing this for some time. His confidence that everything will be taken care of was super helpful. I used almost all of the venue's recommended vendors in which they were absolutely incredible. Everyone that showed up to help that day knew exactly where to go, what to do, and how to get it done. I know weather is unpredictable, but somehow we got lucky with a stunning day. The day itself was magical and now that we are getting all of our photos back you can tell how truly stunning the day was. We utilized every inch that this venue had to offer; having the ceremony outside over looking the hills and horse stable, the cocktail hour was located out on the Patios, sunset photos walking the grounds, and hung out by the pool area when possible. Our guests were able to check out the local attractions as it is situated between 3 wineries and downtown Middleburg, which offers a lot of great mom and pop shops. I know this will be a day that we will never forget and the Briar Patch Bed and Breakfast made it all possible!

Dixie is a joy to work with, allowing us many opportunities to visit the venue ahead of the big day, and offering numerous resources and references, to vendors, insurance, etc. The property has a lovely, private atmosphere, but is close to town for last minute errands.
