Dyer, IN

Meyer's Castle is a world class historic landmark set on a hill surrounded by beautiful manicured rolling gardens. Located only 35 minutes away from downtown Chicago (12 miles from the city's border), the estate's smallest room can host a minimum of 30 guests, while the largest ballroom can accommodate up to 325. Our customized proposals are designed to reflect every client's taste, tailored specifically to their creative visions.

Unbelievably tranquil and beautiful garden venue with exquisite food and top-notch service. We toured many wedding venues in Chicago and the suburbs, but none of them felt like a destination getaway, with the exception of Meyer’s Castle. By far, our singular favorite place among those we have seen. It's worth every penny to get married here. The service, ambiance, and food are all exceptional!

Stonegate Manor

5.0

Benton Harbor, MI
  • Up to 200 guests
  • Limited services
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $4,050

Get married under a Cathederal of Trees in our Fairy Garden or Classic Pergola. Stonegate Manor is a quiet, elegant, garden estate located between St. Joseph's beach community and Benton Harbor's art district. Lake Michigan is 7 minutes across the street! The moment you enter through the stone gates you will see all the natural beauty and the lovingly restored Victorian Manor House built in 1847. Start your day as early as 8am in the charming carriage house. You have the luxury of two reception spaces; the outdoor Estate Tent and indoor (air conditioned) Riverside Room. End your wedding dancing under a spectacular glow of hundreds of string lights! For more inspiration and a complete list of amenities visit our website, stonegate manor events.

We are so glad that we discovered Stonegate Manor for our small family ceremony! To start, it is so close to Lake Michigan. We were able to get a photo op at the beach in our casual clothes before the ceremony. Then when we arrived at Stonegate, there was plenty of space in the beautiful manor house for us to change into our ceremony outfits. And speaking of photo ops, the grounds are beautiful and have tons of options for beautiful backdrops. We chose the Fairy Garden as our location, and since we were planning our wedding on a very short timeline, we didn’t have any extra decorations. We didn’t need them! It was the perfect secluded spot for us to say our vows with our family members, both human and canine (did we mention Stonegate is dog friendly?!). As I mentioned, we were planning our wedding with only about a month’s notice, and at first we thought that we’d just go to the courthouse. We can’t say how glad we are that we chose Stonegate instead. While we wanted the day to be a casual, stress free event, we also wanted it to be special and memorable. Having an elopement package that includes flowers, cake and other extras eliminated planning stress and decision fatigue, and Prudy is so easy to work with and was able to accommodate the requests we did have to make the day uniquely ours. If you are planning on having your wedding at Stonegate Manor, expect personalized customer service, consistent communication, and a warm welcome when you arrive for your big day.

I am so thankful that we chose to have our daughter's wedding reception at the Felt Estate. Words can't begin to describe our joy! Our daughter and her husband had their first date at the Felt Estate on a cold winter day in 2017. They went hiking to the Lake Michigan shoreline where they shared their first kiss. After their engagement, it wasn't surprising that the Felt Estate was the venue they wanted for their wedding reception. It was the perfect place to continue celebrating their love. I can't say enough good about our experience with the Felt Estate, and in particular Derrick, our event coordinator. Derrick is kind, compassionate, and very accessible. He answers his phone and emails promptly (on the weekends and even on the 4th of July). Derrick and the entire team were wonderful to work with pre-pandemic, but when COVID-19 brought unwanted news and uncertanties, Derrick was our advocate. He shared our desire for making this situation the best it could possibly be. Originally, we had a "Plan A" and a "Plan B" if it happened to rain. On the day of the wedding, we were probably on "Plan J" and "Plan K"!!  :) Derrick had many creative ideas to accommodate as many of our guests as possible using multiple spaces at the Felt Esate, but still abiding by the ever-changing state-mandated rules and guidelines. The staff at Felt went above and beyond to get spaces ready for us! (We are very thankful that we rented the whole estate rather than only the mansion/west lawn tent.) Our caterer said that out of all the venues they have worked with during the coronavirus pandemic, they have been the most impressed with Derrick and Holden (the other event coordinator). Communication and knowledge are so important at a time like this. While the day looked different than our original plans, it was still very dreamy and magical - everything the bride and groom hoped for!! As the bride's mother, I couldn't be more grateful!!!

The Chapel at The Morris Estate (formerly Morris Farms) has been providing a breathtaking backdrop for weddings since 1938. E.M. Morris built The Chapel as the Centre Meeting House on his 1,000 acre farm in Niles, Michigan. It began as the setting for his daughter's wedding and has since hosted important events for both the Morris family and community. Although there have been renovations to add modern conveniences, the property's quaint atmosphere and rich heritage will continue to be maintained. The area surrounding The Chapel provides a lovely and convenient location for a reception after the ceremony. Enjoy the peace and beauty of the woodland setting along the riverfront while celebrating with friends and family. Lodging is also available on this historic property at the River House. This luxurious retreat provides 5 spacious suites and many relaxing common spaces to enjoy.

As a makeup artist, I'm always looking for venues that not only make the bride's planning a breeze but also work with other vendors amazingly. Not only is The Morris Estates professional, beautiful, and in one of the best locations ever. Wait until you see the bridal suite! The suite is a makeup artist's dream featuring enough room for your hair/mua team to set up while you and your bridal party still have plenty of space to enjoy the getting ready process. The Morris Estate is hands down in my top 5 wedding venues in our area and I'm grateful for their team and my brides to be who also love this venue so much.

W.K. Kellogg Manor House

5.0

Hickory Corners, MI
  • Up to 70 guests
  • Limited services
  • Indoor & outdoor

Your wedding is one of the most memorable and significant days of your life. Picturesque Kellogg Manor is a wonderful choice to bring beauty, luxury, and a one-of-a kind wedding experience to the couple, and all your guests. From your ceremony, reception, rehearsal dinner, or bridal shower, we can do it all. Here at the Manor House, we know that planning a wedding is a big undertaking, and we would love to take the stress of the day off your shoulders.

We had originally planned to have a wedding in Chicago, but when COVID hit we decided to have our wedding near my grandparents on Gull Lake. We were incredibly lucky we could have our ceremony here. It was perfect and Nicole was great to work with. Everything went super smoothly. Also my wife’s family stayed in one of the cottages nearby, which was great. We had our rehearsal dinner outside the house and had our pictures taken on the grounds. Oh and we got picked up by boat after the ceremony, which we couldn’t have done anywhere else.
