I'm a bit of a free spirit. My wife Jaime is an analyzer. We may seem like unconventional partners, but together our dynamic works perfectly. My talent doesn't lie solely in photography... It's being creative in general. And whether that creativity is channeled into photography or some other artistic outlet, it's an itch that's in constant need of scratching. That's why I turned to photography as a profession in the first place. It has allowed me to hone my deep connection with people, leverage my experience growing up in a big, crazy family, and rely on people as the constant in my work - rather than style, editing, or locations.

I’m Edgar, an HTX-raised native with Salvadorian roots. I am the owner, creative director, and lead photographer at Anchor Studios Photography. I'm a wedding and elopement photographer based out of Pittsburgh, PA! However, the stories I capture don't start and end there. I love to travel to capture stories all around the world.

In 2013, I started Logan & Co. shooting my first wedding that same year. I have been obsessed with capturing the most special moments in a persons life. In 2016, I started offering makeup artistry services to my clients. I have always been in love with making people feel seen and beautiful. This is what makes doing my passion so easy!

For as long as I can remember I have always loved to create. My passion for photography started when I was a teen. As I honed in on my craft I began to photograph on a more professional level right out of high school, but stepped away for academic pursuits. After completing both a bachelors and master's degree in Anthropology, I came full circle, determining that a career in doing something creative was where my heart lies. Hi, Im David! I make photos! I have a bachelor's degree in Film + Digital Media, it sits on a bookcase in my house. I am obsessed with all things photography, cinema, riding bikes, Abby+Laurel, couch dates, talking, laughing, dreaming, and true crime documentaries. Abby is my ride or die. She loves all things makeup, horrible romantic comedies, nature, animals and her family. She is beautiful, supportive, a people pleaser, bad at technology and the funniest person I know. She also is the best Wife and Mom in the world! On Valentines Day, 2020 we welcomed our daughter Laurel into the world. Simply put, she is my greatest accomplishment.

I feel so honored to be a part of the most memorable moments in so many people’s lives. My desire as an artist is to create photos that are full of life and meaning and express beauty in an honest way. For this reason, I choose to photograph your wedding in an organic nature mixing film and digital photography. My career in the arts started in a more traditional setting, studying painting and drawing and I went on to graduate with a degree in Visual Communication. I do love all the mediums I’ve studied, but my true passion is photography. I have now worked as a photographer since 2010 and I am so blessed to be doing what I love.
