Our wedding experience was nothing short of magical, and it's all thanks to the incredible efforts of Jessica, our outstanding wedding coordinator at this enchanting venue. From the moment we engaged her services, we found ourselves effortlessly gliding through the entire process without a single moment of stress. Jessica's expertise and meticulous attention to detail were evident in every aspect of our special day. So much so, that I wholeheartedly entrusted her with the arrangement of the florals, not laying eyes on them until the wedding day itself. To say she exceeded our expectations would be an understatement – every detail was flawlessly executed. The venue itself is an absolute gem, radiating an undeniable charm that contributed to the overall magic of the occasion. The accompanying homes provided for our use were not only incredibly cute but also showcased Jessica's unwavering commitment to perfection – no detail was left unattended. Reflecting on our wedding day, my spouse and I find ourselves repeatedly expressing the sentiment that, if given the chance, we would relive that extraordinary day over and over again. This venue, with Jessica at the helm, truly created an unforgettable experience, and we couldn't be more grateful for the seamless, beautiful celebration she orchestrated. Thank you Jessica!

Red Tail Ranch is a stunning 50 acre property nestled in the Sierra Nevada foothills community of Groveland, just outside Yosemite National Park. Surrounded by meadows and oak woodlands, all amenities are present on site for individual gatherings, events, weddings, workshops or retreats. There are numerous trails on and off the property for hiking, mountain biking, nature walks, or simply strolling. Connect with the community by tapping into our network of local businesses that provide yoga, massage, catering, photography, and more. Plan your visit or event at Red Tail Ranch. With everything here, you may never make it to Yosemite

After extensive searching, we stumbled upon this place via family friend recommendation. It was perfect! The owners responded quickly to any questions and concerns we had. Not only was the venue GORGEOUS, but we, as well as the wedding party, were able to rent the venue the night before and the night of the wedding. It saved us a lot of stress because our wedding party was all in one place! This also allowed our vendors to set up earlier in the day. We love Red Tail Ranch and are planning on spending a weekend there in the near future!

The Avery Hotel

5.0

Avery, CA
  • Up to 125 guests
  • Limited services
  • Outdoor
  • Starts at $7,500

The Avery Hotel, built in 1851, is situated on the majestic Ebbetts Pass Scenic Highway 4 east of the historic gold-rush town of Murphys. The hotel is perfect for group vacations and family gatherings. The Bear Valley Ski Resort is located just up the road. Calaveras Big Trees State Park is 15 minutes away. There are restaurants, shopping, and wine tasting nearby. The perfect holiday getaway.

From the historic charm to the large property, it was the perfect setting for our enchanted forest/fantasy world themed wedding! We had a small wedding weekend where we stayed at the Avery with 28 of our friends and family from Friday to Sunday. Terry, the manager, was extremely helpful answering any of my questions from when we toured and booked until even after the wedding. It was the perfect DIY wedding venue for us. They provided tables, chairs, tablecloths, choice of arbor, set up of their dance floor, tons of lighting all over the property, bar glasses, large kitchen for catering, and they also have tons of faux florals and decorations that we were allowed to use. If you don’t mind doing the DIY work, it is the most affordable (and beautiful in my opinion) venue in Calaveras county. I was so lucky to come across this gem, I had to share how much I loved it!

I cannot emphasize enough that if you're even slightly considering booking an event here, take this as your definitive sign to go for it. We had the incredible fortune of celebrating our wedding here in October, and the entire experience was nothing short of extraordinary. Our wedding planner, Erica Ford, was an absolute gem. Working with her felt more like planning with a close friend who had our best interests at heart rather than a mere acquaintance. Her meticulous attention to detail and wealth of knowledge made the entire wedding planning process effortless. On the day of our wedding, Erica was a beacon of organization, ensuring everything flowed seamlessly. When they promise to have everything covered so you can simply arrive and enjoy, they truly mean it. From the moment we stepped into the venue until the final minutes of our celebration, our wedding day was an absolute delight. I can't sing enough praises for Erica and her exceptional dedication! Now, let me turn your attention to the culinary genius, Chef Root. Our tasting session was an absolute highlight (highly recommended!), and from that moment, we were captivated by our wedding menu. Our guests are still raving about the food! I was adamant about steering clear of typical banquet fare, and Chef Root masterfully crafted a personalized culinary experience for us. He made our event feel uniquely special, even bringing to life a dessert my husband had long dreamed of having at our wedding. His commitment and talent were truly an honor to experience. I must also highlight the incredible work of Leticia, the talented florist who curated the most stunning flowers for our special day. She's an absolute artist. Not only did she bring my vision to life, but she also transformed a collection of brooches I'd been gathering for years into a breathtaking bouquet. Her attention to detail, including the thoughtful incorporation of my late father, was incredibly touching. Leticia's dedication to making our day unforgettable was remarkable. Every individual we had the pleasure of working with at The Century and Nine3One was exceptional. I genuinely can't speak highly enough of our experience. I loved it so much that if I could, I'd relive it all over again. Without a doubt, any future events in my life will be hosted here. I've been enthusiastically recommending The Century and Nine3One to everyone I know. Trust me, booking your event here will be a decision you won't regret.

Wedgewood at Sterling Hotel helped us create a perfect day. Our ceremony was held offsite and we did our cocktail and reception at the Sterling. The coordinators and staff were amazing to work with and made the experience as easy and low-stress as possible. The venue was beautifully set up and the Wedgewood vendors all did an amazing job. Our guests are still raving about the food, DJ, cake, and florals. I could not have asked for a more pleasant experience. 10/10 would recommend.

With most weddings or events, you always feel like you spend the whole year planning, then it goes by in the blink of an eye because you only had the one day to celebrate. At Mountain Shadows, because we were there three days we were able to truly connect. The house is spacious enough to where everyone feels like they all have their own areas, but just the right size to feel close. The view is a show stopper! We also went wine tasting (about 30 mins away) one of the days we were there and had a party bus pick us up which put the cherry on top of the event. Brian and the staff are super responsive and you’ll feel taken care of every step of the way. Friends in our group have decided, wedding or not, this will be an every year occasion.
