Enjoy the scenic 6-mile drive from SW Rochester on paved roads to a magical place nestled in the rolling hillsides of southeast Minnesota. We’ve owned and operated our family perennial farm with sprawling gardens which has hosted hundreds of weddings for over 25 years. Our new wedding & events facility is a heated & cooled vintage, European-style carriage house to match our existing civil war era (1858!) brick house. The Carriage House can accommodate 150 guests in the warm months and 100 in the winter. The space flows into the gardens and expansive patio area for additional seating. Our Event building is currently undergoing major renovation and will be completed by April of 2024. The climate controlled space will feature spacious room for 150 guests in a “country elegant” décor. The building features a Bride’s suite with full bathroom and private patio. Also inside is a wine and beer service area, a catering kitchen, a food serving area, a stage for Musicians and spacious restrooms, Most Ceremonies are held outside near the Vineyard, weather permitting. If the weather doesn’t cooperate, the Ceremonies can be held under our Event tent. The Forestville property is also home to a completely renovated one room School constructed in 1897 and used as a school until 1964. The School building houses our wine and beer tasting room and also the Groom’s Suite for weddings.

Barnwood Events is 10 minutes from Downtown Madison next to the Capital City Bike Trail in a park-like country setting. This brand new barn timber frame building is built with modern amenities for year round events. The venue includes free parking for up to 170 cars and an onsite renovated farmhouse that sleeps up to 14 guests. The barn seats up to 300 inside and has 8 acres of green space and large mature trees that include several options for outdoor or indoor ceremonies and receptions.

The Blue Moon is the only true ballroom in the Rochester area. The sound system is fantastic and used by our recommended DJs. You can save big bucks by using any outside catering service that you want. We have one exclusive vendor for the bar. We have hosted more than 500 private receptions, and would be happy to meet with you to to see if the Blue Moon Ballroom would be a good fit for your event.

The Venue at River's Edge is a recently restored Venue in downtown waterloo. Formerly the building was used as a community building before the city of waterloo had things like a school gym or a theater. At one time the building hosted a long list of events including basketball games, weddings, movies, plays, and even a rifle range in the basement. After being restored we are now again hosting events with a primary focus on weddings and receptions. The Ludlow Mansion is steeped in history from the early beginning as a homestead of a 3,000 acre farm and a stop on the underground railroad, to today as a preeminent regional gathering place for great events. Five suites are available for overnight accommodations and access for photos and videos can be obtained in this historic homestead. The Mansion's grounds invite guests to enjoy friends and family under the shadow of its four two-story columned porch or its great white pergola. Milford Hills offers two separate outdoor ceremony and indoor reception venues. The Clubhouse at Milford Hills overlooks our beautiful outdoor grounds and can accommodate up to 236 guests. This venue has its own outdoor ceremony site with a picturesque view overlooking our pond and waterfall. If you were looking for a smaller venue we also offer the Hideaway. This venue can accommodate up to 110 guests, has a budget friendly buffet menu, and also has its own ceremony site. Additionally, we can accommodate tent weddings if your guest count is beyond our maximum capacity. We also feature a 5-star shooting facility which includes a pistol/rifle range, 24 station sporting clays course, as well as a 5-stand and Trading Post. With the open floor plan and the atmosphere of an east coast art gallery, tables and chairs can be set up for whatever needs your event might have.
