In 2016, I started looking for creative alternatives to fresh flowers. I saw an advertisement for WOOD flower arrangements and was intrigued. It was fascinating to me that someone would think to use the wood from a plant to make flowers. Fast forward a couple months and I started ordering raw undyed flowers, dove in headfirst, and fell in love! My floral business is going green! In this day and age, environmental consideration is essential. By operating an environmentally-conscious business and minimizing my carbon footprint, I refrain from incorporating aerosols, paints, or dyes. I seldom use floral foam and when possible, implement alternative options. I incorporate recycled glass vases into my designs or simply find vases/ containers to repurpose. Additionally, I do not use harsh chemicals or cleaning products in my studio and source recycled or sustainable products for my branding material.
