The band was founded in 2011 but the versatile members have been playing together and separately for more than two decades. You can choose between a seven-, eight-, or 10-piece band to perform at your reception, while smaller groups can perform during the ceremony and cocktail hour. Show-stopping music is performed with a variety of instruments such as horns, percussion, saxophones, flute, and piano. Hernan graduated from the CUNY of Hunter College as a Music and History major to better prepare himself for both the musical and culture of mariachi. Within the first 2 years, Mariachi Hidalgo has performed in some of New York's exclusive places. Hernan's main goal is to inspire and motivate other youths to continue this musical tradition of mariachi.
