Maria exceeded my expectations! Being 2200 miles away and planning my destination wedding myself was a lot to handle. The moment I hired Maria, she took so much stress and worry away. She made sure to cover ALL bases and then some. I've received an abundant amount of compliments on the flowers at our wedding. When we were figuring out the look I had in mind, she nailed it and made it more beautiful than I could've ever imagined. I will ALWAYS recommend her. 10/10, if I could give her 100 stars, I definitely would!

Flower Moxie – Do-It-Yourself Wedding Flowers

5.0

Oklahoma City, OK
  • Serves Ventura, CA

In 2013, 8-year wedding veteran Amy McCord Jones realizes she wouldn't be able to afford to hire her own floral services if she was a bride. Then, Amy discovers that there is basically zero help available for DIY brides. No flower recipes. No instructions. No access to florist-grade blooms. Rude. So she launches Flower Moxie! Flower Moxie remains a humble, tucked-away small business out of Oklahoma City. We don’t zoom around on scooters in some fancy high-rise. We stock an average kitchen with canned wine and Aldi chips and listen to true crime podcasts while photographing curvy ranunculus. Join us. There’s cake, hugs, and acceptance here.

I used Flower Moxie for my son and daughter-in-law's wedding florals. I cannot say enough good things about the flowers, supplies and support received. I primarily worked with Maria and she made sure that I had everything I needed. I recommend watching the video tutorials that FM provides as they are super fun and informative. Kudos to Amy and team for this great approach! The flowers arrived 3 days prior to the wedding...follow the recommended flower prep which maximizes the blooms and makes the arranging way easier. The flowers achieved maximum bloom by the wedding day and were gorgeous...received tons of complements on our organic/rustic designs. For approximately 700, I designed my own combo and we made a huge bridal bouquet, 4 large bridesmaid bouquets, 1 med throwing bouquet, 2 med arrangements for head table, 10 boutonnieres, 4 wrist corsages and 5 hair combs...with backup flowers to spare. What a savings from using a florist! I would definitely use Flower Moxie again and highly recommend them!

Something Borrowed Blooms

4.8

Lafayette, LA
  • Starts at $250
  • Serves Ventura, CA

Thousands of brides across the United States and Canada have trusted Something Borrowed Blooms to provide the perfect flowers for their wedding day. We offer brides the expensive peonies, delicate ranunculus, out-of-season anemones, and the ever-impossible-to-find-magnolia — all at a fraction of the cost.

Don’t even think about spending thousands on real flowers. These silk flowers were incredible and I LOVED using Something Borrowed Bloom. Everything came in fantastic shape, the process was fairly easy. My only advice would be to make sure you know who will be shipping everything back the next day and to have someone who’s responsible in charge of collecting the boutonnières and bouquets at the end of the night ! The flowers were gorgeous. We rent them for bouquets, boutonnières, garland, cake table decor and used the bridesmaids bouquets as the center pieces. Saved a ton of money and no one could tell they were silk flowers until you said something. Would highly recommend!

Jen was so sweet and easy to work with! I changed my order a few times and she never complained, just walked me through the changes. My flowers were GORGEOUS! I received so so so many compliments on how beautiful and real looking they are. I love that I can keep them forever and put them on display or Jen said she can turn them into a wreath. This was the best decision I made for my bouquet for my wedding day. I would highly recommend getting your flowers from Jen, you will not be sorry!

Michelle made our florals from a tricky palette and a wish for some wildness on our part. The result was magical Midsummer Night’s Dream-y. She also made a gorgeous floral hairpiece for me and floral arm tattoos, necklaces, lapel decorations, and pocket squares for the wedding party. A delight to work with.

Suzanne and Erin were amazing - they worked with us and our budget and didn’t bat an eye when we asked to add a few more arrangements just a few days before the wedding. They were super responsive and I think one thing that definitely set them apart from the other vendors that I spoke to was that they actually showed me photos of the exact types of flowers that they were going to use based on my inspiration photos which was really nice to really visually see them. I really wanted simple flowers, and was worried that it wouldn’t be enough, but they honestly knocked it out of the park I love that they used local flower suppliers that was really important to me. They were on time to set everything up the day of the wedding and stayed after for repurposing, which they did so quickly and seamlessly my guests didn’t even notice. It was truly an amazing experience working with them, and would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a florist in the area. I also love that they are mother-daughter team which hits home for me, because I to share a business with my mother!
