My wife and I got married a couple weeks ago and honestly couldn’t have been happier with choosing Sound River Studios as our venue. The space itself allowed us to build out our dream wedding, and the location set it all over the top. We had a nice misty night which accentuated the lights of the NYC skyline and added a great atmosphere to being on the East River. Una and the team were incredible and made sure our day went exactly as planned. I couldn’t recommend SRS enough!

Dobbin St is a tailored event space centrally located in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, steps away from picturesque McCarren park. It is a transformed Brooklyn factory that exudes a minimalist and luxury feel, boasting stunning Manhattan skyline views and vaulted 22 foot ceilings. The venue combines 8,900 sq ft of indoor and outdoor space. Dobbin St was designed with the sole intention to create the most exceptional and stunning event experience. Our clients have the use of 4,250 sq ft of internal space, and a 750 sq ft dedicated client mezzanine. A 900 sq ft courtyard is the beautiful hidden gem that completes the space. One flight up is a 3,000 sq ft terrace - an exquisite setting for a wedding ceremony or open-air event.

We got married at Dobbin St. on March 23, 2019. We fell in love with the space the first time we saw it. The high ceilings, clean lines, and minimalist look were just what we wanted, and unlike anything else we had seen. It was like a "clean" slate that we were able to completely make our own with our choice of flowers, lighting, place settings, etc. The whole Dobbin St. team was amazing to work with - they were with us every step of the way. Purslane at the Prospect Park Boathouse

3.0

Brooklyn, NY
  • Up to 150 guests
  • All-inclusive
  • Indoor & outdoor

This Beaux Arts style building built in 1905 overlooks the scenic Lullwater and Lullwater Bridge offering a breathtaking natural setting and stately backdrop for your special occasion.

We live in the same neighborhood as the Prospect Park Boathouse, and so we had happened upon so many Boathouse weddings over the years that when it came time to choose our own wedding venue we naturally thought of the Boathouse. Getting married in what felt like our own backyard with Purslane running the show was truly one of the best decisions we ever could have made for our wedding. We worked with both Kendra and Kendall for our April 14, 2023 wedding and had a great experience being taken through the planning process, from signing the initial contract to seeing Kendall execute our vision on wedding day. One of the best things about Purslane at the Boathouse is the included rentals package: picking menu selections as well as details like linen color all in one place made the planning process so easy. The venue itself is absolutely gorgeous, and we loved that we could make the final call on a rain plan the morning of the wedding. Considering we got married in the unpredictable month of April, that gave us so much peace of mind. The food was absolutely delicious, and when we had some special requests around the groom’s mom’s food preferences, Kendall and her team worked with us to ensure we’d have an inclusive menu that made everyone happy. The catering team on wedding day went above and beyond, even helping the bride hide from the groom before our first look (LOL) and helping provide ice water to the bridal party on our hot wedding day while we were taking photos. We truly felt like we were in such good hands with Purslane, and all our guests absolutely raved about the beauty of the venue. We’ll cherish our photos and memories in this iconic building forever, and we love that we can always come visit on one of our neighborhood walks or even years from now, when we feel like reminiscing. All said, Purslane worked seamlessly with the rest of our vendor team to make our vision of a perfect wedding day come to life. You can’t go wrong with a Prospect Park Boathouse wedding!

Perched atop the Museum of Arts and Design, Robert offers a modern classic dining experience with unparalleled views of Central Park and Columbus Circle. Our restaurant embodies elegance and sophistication, reflected in both its exquisite decor and the innovative seasonal menu crafted by Chef Armando Cortes. Say 'I do' to breathtaking views, impeccable service, and unparalleled luxury at Robert. Let us be the backdrop to your love story, where dreams come true against the stunning backdrop of Central Park's natural splendor.

Working on events at Robert is always a pleasure. It has a striking decor and an unparalleled view of Columbus Circle and Central Park, and so we rarely need to add anything to make the room look great, and can focus purely on the more technical aspects of the event. Uniquely, it has an enormous and dramatic TV screen in the back that fits well into the decor if it's not being used, but can also be used for presentations of all kinds, and it has a nicely-balanced built-in sound system that makes our lives easier. It's not the largest of spaces, but it's very flexible and so we've still been able to cover a wide variety of events including multiple microphones, multiple TV screens, small stages, DJ's, and more. The team there is always excellent to work with, always looking to help ensure that everything fits exactly right, goes smoothly, and upholds the standards of quality that they are committed to.

Historically decorated with an unprecedented six three-star New York Times reviews, Gotham’s new owners—former Managing Partner Bret Csencsitz and environmentalist Kevin Conrad—sought to honor this legacy while ushering Gotham into a greener, more mindful era. Your ideal setting for weddings, film shoots, corporate gatherings and more. Founded in 1863, Center for Brooklyn History, formerly Brooklyn Historical Society (BHS) is dedicated to celebrating and preserving the borough’s 400 year history. Located in the heart of historic Brooklyn Heights steps away from the Brooklyn Promenade, the building is a national historic landmark and features timeless architectural details including stained glass windows, soaring ceilings and hand carved woodwork. The building has been renovated with state of the art modern facilities. Whatever your needs, Center for Brooklyn History can tailor a space rental package. Stately columns and soaring ceilings are the focus of the striking first-floor space, while the elegant Othmer Library, a New York City interior landmark, will make your event one for the books!

We had our wedding at BHS (100 guests, cocktail hour in the staircase lobby, ceremony in the library and reception at great hall) in June 2019. We did not need much decorations other than flowers because the landmarked interior spaces with woods and tiles already made the space look so majestic. Every guest we spoke to mentioned how beautiful the building was, inside and out. Randi, the venue manager at BHS, was always very helpful and responsive. Three notch florals (flowers) and Manna catering (kosher catering) that Randi recommended also turned out to be the best vendors we could hope for.
