Boasting a downtown vibe with a verdant urban garden, this German Village & Brewery District venue was built in 1873 as a trolley barn for the original Columbus streetcar system. It’s the perfect blend of moody industrial and historic chic. As of October 2023 we are undergoing a refresh that includes sparkling chandeliers and uplighting, a new grand foyer & lounge and of course, the urban garden that allows guests to enjoy the energy of High Street while wrapped in lush greenery and twinkling café lights. The remodel will be complete in June 2024 and we are now accepting bookings! Strongwater Events is a dynamic industrial wedding venue housed in the middle of a century old warehouse in the Franklinton Arts District, just outside of downtown Columbus, OH. We have three distinct spaces all connected to each other to allow for many different sized weddings. We share the warehouse with Strongwater Food & Spirits and 400 West Rich artist studios and are extremely grateful to be a part of this thriving hub of creativity! We're located just minutes from downtown Columbus and surrounded by a vibrant community. The warehouse was originally built in 1911 and has been preserved and reimagined into the chic industrial space it is today. On the Edison campus you will be able to enjoy your experience from above in the event space and below at the brewery. Situated above the Brewery & Taproom, The Loft offers 7,200 square feet of private space that features an abundance of sunlight, plenty of room to accommodate your group, and the unique character of the historic Pickerington Creamery Building. The Loft at Combustion Brewery & Taproom can accommodate up to 160 guests. Guests enjoy Combustion's craft beer made-in-house and served fresh from a private bar in The Loft. Every couple and event is unique and we are committed to executing the wedding you dream of down to each detail. Why The Mercantile Our goal is to provide you as the newlyweds, a stress-free + relaxing experience. We offer a fully staffed venue including parking attendants, a day-of venue manager, and other team members to make your day as smooth as possible! When you plan your wedding with us you gain access to our curated inventory to build your centerpieces and other décor at no additional charge! Our team does all of the set-up of tables + chairs including tear down. All we ask is that you gather your personal belongings. Our Vintage Warehouse + Barn Built by The Ohio Farm Bureau to house grain and farm materials in the early 1960's. This historic warehouse is located on 3-acres complete with string lights + French inspired chandeliers.
