The Westin Poinsett Hotel was built in 1924. After the Great Depression, it started to get a lot of traction from local residents and quickly became known as “Carolina’s Finest.” It was purchased in 1997 and the extensive renovation process began, transforming it to the same flamboyant hotel that hosted guests such as Amelia Earhart and Bobby Kennedy. The Westin Poinsett boasts eight event rooms with a total of 9,669 square feet of event space, with the largest room holding up to 350 people reception style. It comes with two historic ballrooms as well as spacious meeting spaces utilized for Getting Ready on the Wedding Day. With elegant yet neutral décor, the spaces provide the perfect backdrop for your wedding photos and celebration.

Serre’s 70-acre grounds with breathtaking scenery, rustic meets modern barn that accommodates up to 200 guests, covered patio seating, custom-built farmhouse tables, luxurious décor, outdoor bar fire pit, and wedding coordinator to help plan it all will make sure your loved ones are not only comfortable; they’ll feel like it’s their special day, too. We have a lovely converted barn reception site which boasts a perfect warming kitchen and prep area for your caterers. The property at Hidden Pastures Farm covers almost 300 acres of pristine private mountaintop real estate. The views overlooking Ashe County and beyond are some of the best you will ever see.

Our historic farm which was established in 1890 has since been transformed into a tranquil venue to create lasting memories. Our open-air pavilion with exposed beams and exquisite handmade chandeliers makes for great reception area. The wooden arch overlooking the Carolina mountains is just a short walk across the lawn creating the perfect ceremony location.
