Coley Hall at The Liberty

5.0

Elkin, NC
  • Up to 500 guests
  • Limited services
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $2,500

Coley Hall at The Liberty began as a run-down century old Tobacco Warehouse. After being purchased by Elkin native Cicely McCulloch, the space was transformed into a beautiful wedding venue. However, one cannot help but notice the space’s rich history. With an industrial feel, century-old exposed beams overhead, weathered wood, and distressed brick, it’s the definition of rustic elegance and can be tailor-made to fit any style. Keep things simple by utilizing the existing beauty of the space, or dress it up with elegant sheer fabrics draped overhead. Even if you are not DIY savvy, our staff is here to provide inspiration to ensure your vision comes to life!

My husband and I were faced with planning a wedding during COVID-19. How lucky we were to have chosen Coley Hall as our venue. Suzanne and Cicely were both so helpful throughout the whole process. We talked often as regulations changed and they were always flexible, accommodating, and understanding. They made sure that we had the most special wedding day regardless of a global pandemic. The food was awesome, service pristine, and facilities beautiful! We feel so lucky to have gotten married at Coley Hall and were proud to show off our wedding venue to friends & family!

Trailside Brewing and "The Grove" Events Space and Listening Room

4.5

Hendersonville, NC
  • Up to 600 guests

  • Starts at $3,000

Trailside Brewery is a fantastic venue with a rich history and modern amenities. The combination of historical charm, convenient location along the Ecusta Trail, close to Downtown Hendersonville, also offers a variety of event spaces makes it an appealing choice for hosting weddings and other gatherings. The two separate buildings, "The Grove" Events space and Listening room, and the Trailside Brewing and Tasting Room, offer diverse options for events of different sizes and styles. Our large beer garden adds a cozy and inviting touch, creating a comfortable atmosphere for guests to socialize. With ample free parking spaces, large bathrooms, and a short hike to downtown Hendersonville, Trailside Brewery seems to prioritize guest convenience and accessibility. Overall, the combination of historical significance, modern facilities, full bar and brewery, and the scenic location makes Trailside Brewery a unique and attractive venue for various events, especially weddings.

We had our reception at Trailside this past Fall of 2023. The day of, everything went perfectly. We were given ample time to set up, freedom to move around in the space, and ability to utilize it as we saw fit. The venue usually has live music, but they booked an acoustic band, which set up in the main dining area of the brewery. Our reception was able to play its own music, from speakers we brought, and not feel impacted from the live music going on for the rest of the patrons. Our event did not co-mingle too much with the general public; however there was a couple people that drifted in and we politely asked them to leave. As stated above, our overall day of was all we could have wanted and more. The days leading up to our reception were very stressful due to renovations that weren't quite ready for our event. Since we were the first party in this space, we had to bare the growing pains, which Trailside tried to accommodate for as much as possible. I believe since we were the "test" party, this team will grow from the experience. All in all, our reception day was all we could have wanted and more, so when it came down to the wire, the team delivered.

We got engaged in July 2023. With a Fall wedding date set in the beautiful Appalachian Mountains, my then fiance and I knew we'd need to start lookin' and bookin' ASAP due to the very popular tourist leaf season. After numerous venue tours in and around the WNC area, we chose Weaver House for a multitude of reasons: 1) PRICE - this venue was half the cost of several other WNC venues of similar size and style 2) LOCATION - Weaver House is smack-dab in the middle of the quaint, yet sublime, Weaverville and you wouldn't even know it 3) SIZE - we had originally estimated to have about 100 guests (ended up with just shy of 50 - yay!) and Weaver House was not too big, not too small, but absolutely just right and 4) STAFF - Alexandra (Event Coordinator) and Joey (Head Chef) are some of the most amazing, kind, laidback, and down-to-earth people we have met, in addition to all of the bar and wait staff - all great things to have around you on your wedding day and leading up to it! We absolutely would not have traded this venue and our experience with them for anything else, even if we had Biltmore money!! Much much love to Weaver House and all involved 3
